  7. C-PLOT is a scientific graphics and data analysis package featuring
  8. publication-quality outputting, 3-D plots, real-time plotting, nonlinear
  9. least-squares fitting to the user's model (using the Marquardt algorithm), a
  10. user function facility for integration of data collection and handling
  11. routines, and a choice of interactive use or batch operation.  C-PLOT supports
  12. X Window System (with color), console PC graphics (VGA, EGA, CGA and
  13. Hercules), laser printers (including PostScript and color PostScript),
  14. encapsulated Postscript, and many dot-matrix printers and video terminals.
  15. Supplied user functions do fast Fourier transforms, splines, histograms,
  16. general data calculations, and contouring.  Data entry is from ASCII or binary
  17. files, from the keyboard or through user functions.  C-PLOT will digitize data
  18. from HP-GL plotters, plot an unlimited number of points and place any number
  19. of plots, of any size, anywhere on the page.  Placement, height, width, tilt,
  20. and rotation of text can be controlled in all eight fonts, which include
  21. Greek, mathematical, and foreign characters.
